Just passing along headlines from Sunday's Sun Sentinel dated 12-26-2010:

Home prices in Broward County were up 9% from the previous year where in Palm Beach County they were down 8% from the previous year. This supports information that I have heard through the realtor grapevine in Broward County that offers on lower end homes in Broward (e.g 100,000 to $200,000) are coming in above list price. This is a good sign for our recovering housing market.
